Bert Lee Hammons, 73 passed away Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017. Bert is preceded in death by his loving parents Bert Hammons and Emma Mae Landers. and his step dad Charles Bradley. His two brothers Bruce Hammons and Mike Kreuss.
Left to mourn his passing is his step mom Norma Hammons; one daughter Lori Lee Hammons; brother Danny Hammons; and three sisters Gene Smith, Rachel Hammons, Kathy Brewer. Bert Lee was an explorer from an early age. In his early adventures he traveled across the U.S. with the carnival, he even dug graves in Florida. He worked the Alaskan oil pipeline. He was well known amongst his friends for his excellent marksmanship. He lived more in his first 26 years than most people will live in a lifetime.
Bert Lee was loved everywhere he lived and everywhere he went, with a funny and clever demeanor. How ever it was his loving affectionate, and open personality that really made people drawn to love him.
Bert Lee was exceptionally strong, physically, in character and in death;

Visitation will be Thursday Nov. 30, 2017 at the Spring Valley Funeral Home, New Albany, from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday Dec. 1, at The Spring Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery located in Paoli, Indiana.
