Calvin's Story

Calvin Manson Wiseman, 92, passed away March 15, 2017 at Westminister Health Care Center in Clarksville, IN. He was born in Depauw, IN June 7, 1924 the son of Gibbs and Ruth Fauver Wiseman.
He was a long-time member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville, IN, a member of the Indiana Campers On Mission and a Boy Scout Troop administrator. He was a veteran of WWII. Calvin was an avid gardener, he loved his fruit trees and loved canning. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Doris Jean Wiseman.
He is survived by two sons, David Wiseman (Margaret) of Clarksville, IN, Alan Wiseman (Susan) of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren Eric Wiseman (Jen), Sarah Wiseman (Matt), Andy Wiseman (Stefanie), and Nathan Wiseman (Lauren) and Kelly Sams (Marquez); four great-grandchildren, Lydia and Luka Wiseman, Marly Monroe and Judah Sams.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Burial will be in Cedar Hill cemetery in Corydon, IN. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday.
