Chester O. "Vernon" Robison, 97 years of age died Sunday January 28, 2018 at the Robert E. Lee Care Center in New Albany. He was born September 18, 1920 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Clarence and Minnie Belle (Stinson) Robison and was a retired employee of Anaconda Aluminum Company in Louisville, KY. Vernon loved to play Eucher, and spend time woodworking, fishing and being outdoors. He was a member of Floyds Knobs Christian Church and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters, and a grandchild Kevin Robison.
Survivors include wife of 75 years Ruth E. (Cadle) Robison; sons Richard "Rick" Robison (Pam) and Michael "Mike" Robison (Jackie); six grandchildren Michael, Crystal, Angel, and Doug Robison, Mike Timberlake and Michelle Fraley; 14 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
A memorial reception will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday February 3, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road Chapel in New Albany with a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel.
