Dale Emery Farnsley, 78, passed away Tuesday October 31, 2017 at Baptist Health Floyd. He was born in New Albany and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired Safety Training Coordinator for Cinergy and was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge #687 and the National Rifle Association. He also belonged to the Order of Eastern Star #428, the American Legion Post #204, the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association, the Indiana Sheriff's Association and he was a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his parents Martha and Arthur E. Farnsley.
Survivors include his son Arthur E. Farnsley II (Gail) and two grandchildren Sarah Farnsley (Will) and Caleigh Kilijoniene' (Viktoras).
A service celebrating Dale's life will be at 6 p.m. Friday November 3, 2017 at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville (1846 E. Oak St.). Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 2 - 6 p..m. Friday before the service. Memorial contributions: The National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association.
