Delores Ann "Dee" (Gerardot) Jackson Taylor, 80 years of age died Friday February 9, 2018 at Autumn Woods Health care in New Albany, Indiana. She was born December 19, 1937 in Allen County, Woodburn Indiana to the late Clarence and Anna (Marquart) Gerardot and was the widow of Donald E. Taylor who died in 1984. Dee formerly worked for B-Bar-B and the Winn Dixie Company in addition to being a wife, mother, homemaker and grandmother. She was an active member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and involved with church group activities. She also was a member of LIFT, three bunco clubs and the Red Hat Society. Dee was a #1 IU fan, especially basketball and loved playing Yahtzee. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother Jerry Gerardot.
Survivors include eight children, Jan Jackson, Dr. Jeff Jackson (Trudy), Jay Jackson (Laura), Jody Jackson-Stanley, Debra Parker (Leroy), Jeff Taylor (Patty), Terry Taylor (Paula), and Pamela Shelton; nine grandchildren, Brian (Nikki), Tera, Brett, Mariah, Samuel, Shannon, Stephanie, Nathaniel, and Renna; two great-grandchildren; Grayson and Owen. Also another 10 Taylor grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Theresa Walker, Kathy Rosengrant; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday February 20, with the Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening and visitation after 9 a.m. Wednesday February 21, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Liturgy will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday February 21, at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville, Indiana. Burial will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park 2776 Charlestown Rd. in New Albany.
