Earl's Story

Earl Edward "Ed" Juliot, 85, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017. The son of the late Frederick and Esther (Bowman) Juliot, Ed was born October 30, 1931 in New Albany, Indiana. Ed was a Christian by faith, served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, was a life member of VFW Post 3281, and member of AE/AEO USS Mt. Katmai Sailors Association. He retired from International Harvester/Navistar after 32-1/2 years. Ed was an avid golfer and long-time member of Valley View Golf Course. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Homer, Lawrence, Rosalee LaDuke, Mildred Bogstad, Elsie Swartz, Fred, George, Paul, and Bobby.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Wanda (King) Juliot; children, Amy Welborn (Patrick) and Matthew Juliot (Sandy); brother, Jerry Juliot; and amazing grandchildren, Justin and Julia Welborn, and Sydney, Madeline, and Wyatt Juliot.
Visitation will be 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Tuesday and after 9:00 am Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with burial and military honors to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation or Alzheimer's Association.
