Ivor "Glenn" Souder Jr., 85, passed away on March 1, 2018 at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany, IN. He was born July 7, 1932 in Louisville, KY the son of Ivor Glenn Sr. and Anna Balz Souder. He retired as a supervisor after just over 20 years with DuPont in Louisville, KY. He was a 22 and one half year decorated U.S. Air Force veteran who served in both the Vietnam and Korean conflicts. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of New Albany, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his high school sweetheart and wife of 57 and one half years Billie Mae Collins Souder; younger brother, Gene Souder; eldest son, Ivor Glenn Souder IV; eldest daughter, Rebecca Haeseley.
He is survived by son, William "Terry" Souder of Elizabeth, IN; daughter, Cathy Kuchler (Robert) of Louisville, KY; daughter-in-law, Nancy Souder of Aurora, CO; four grandchildren, Jeremy Haeseley (Tiffany) of Bloomington, IN, Jaimee, Johnathan and David Souder all of Aurora, CO; and two great grandchildren, Jaelynn and Anessa Haeseley
A funeral ceremony will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, IN. Burial will follow in Edwardsville Cemetery in Edwardsville, IN.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018 and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to Highland Community Ministries Adult Day Program (non-profit). Family thanks them for the safe loving environment which helped extend the time which Glenn was able to stay at home with family.
Family also wants to thank staff of Autumn Woods for the care and support.
