James Kenneth Coomer

September 12, 1935 - October 02, 2017

James Kenneth Commer, 82, of Clarksville, IN passed away Monday October 2, 2017 while on vacation with his three sons in the Smokey Mountains. Ken was co-founder of Ann's On the River. He also was a supervisor at the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant, International Harvester, and owned a General Contracting firm with his family. Ken was a generous loving family man that would try and help everyone he met.
He is survived by his sons Rodney D. Coomer and his wife Peggy of Henryville, IN., David G. Coomer and his wife Frances of Salem, IN., and John K. Coomer of Jeffersonville, IN.; his brothers Michael Coomer of Hisville, KY., Phillip Coomer of Bowling Green, KY., and Timothy Coomer of Hisville, KY.; his sisters Joann Gooden of Louisville, KY., Judy Gossom of Hisville, KY., and Kathy Pollack of Vackerville, PA., Teresa London of Hisville, KY., and Vickie Mosby of Glasglow, KY.; his grandchildren Andre T. Coomer, Crystal G. Kern, and Morgan E. Coomer; his great-grandchildren Jordan Kern and Aubrey Coomer.
He is preceded in death by his wife Ann E. Coomer, his mother Bernice Atwell Coomer, his father Lawrence G. Coomer, and his sister Lorrine Hawkins. Funeral service will be held Friday October 6, 2017 at 1 p.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday October 5, 2017 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
