Jim was an avid baseball fan and a life long UK fan. In his earlier years, he played baseball, golf and was one heck of a bowler. In his later years, he loved watching basketball, baseball and golf on TV and then discussing the events with his son each night on the phone. Before his health deteriorated, he was actively involved with his Sunday night group at the Jeffersonville Token Club. He regularly baked cakes, cookies and other desserts for those celebrating birthdays and was always willing to help those in need or give advice to those who were struggling. He loved his family tremendously and enjoyed spending as much time as he could with them, especially his grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen per his request. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home. Memorial visitation will be from 12:00 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
