Funeral Services for Lillie Christine "Penny" Sneed, 82, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 23rd, at Scott Funeral Home's North Chapel, Jeffersonville, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and after 9:00 a.m. Monday. She died Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Norton's Hospital, Louisville.
Christine was born in Lawrenceburg, KY, retired after 30 years from Brown and Williamson, and was a member of Northside Christian Church, Fraternal Order of Eastern Stars, and Louisville Professional Women's Club. She was a top notch seamstress and homemaker, and a loving caretaker to many. Enjoyed going to the Arts, entertaining and traveling.
She leaves behind, sons, Doug Sneed and his wife, Tammy, of Jeffersonville; Mark Sneed and his wife, Amy, of Floyds Knobs; daughter, Linda Sneed Mullins, of Jeffersonville; four siblings, Cindy Peak of Pekin, IL; Nellie Peak of Lawrenceburg, KY; Raymond Peak of Lawrenceburg, KY; and Faye Wainscott and her husband Denny, of Lawrenceburg, KY; grandchildren Malinda Feltner and her husband, Eric, of Charlestown; Brandy Sneed of Jeffersonville; Malissa Gadlage and her significant other Bryan Eckenroth, of Jeffersonville; Brent Sneed of Jeffersonville. Great-grandchildren, Jesse Gadlage, Ethan Feltner, C.J. Hamilton, Breanna Feltner, Bailey Ross, and Realin Eckenroth; along with numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Lawrence Edward Sneed, Jr, of Jeffersonville; her parents, Silas Lindsey Peak and Bertha Elizabeth Grugan; and siblings, Virginia Moak, Everett Elder Peak, Omer Peak, Chester Peak, Elsie Peak Stratton, Estill Peak, Nancy Peak Ashby, Woodrow Peak, Howard Peak, Paul Edward Peak, Elmo Peak.
Memorial contributions in memory of Christine can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, envelopes are available at the funeral home.
