Marjorie's Story

Marjorie C. (Glass) Phillips, 95 years of age died Monday, February 27, 2017, at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany. She was born April 16, 1921 in Birmingham, Alabama and was a retired Civil Service employee at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Marjorie was the widow of Harold Edward Phillips who died in 1972. She was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and also loved playing the piano and singing. Marjorie will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three siblings; Bertha, Dean and Annie Lou.
Survivors include children Walter "Larry" Phillips (Pat) and Connie Weissman; grandson Harold E. "Eddie" Phillips II (Katie); great-grandson Charles Phillips; and great-granddaughters Carolyn Phillips and Ashley Kukuselis.
A memorial reception will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday March 2, at Kraft Funeral Service 2776 Charlestown Road in New Albany, Indiana. Cremation was chosen. Her memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday evening in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel.
