Paul Edward Givan Jr., 66, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018. He was born in Louisville, KY. to Paul Edward and Margaret Givan. He was a graduate of Valley High School, Western Kentucky University, and the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He was an insurance agent for many years and was a retired JCPS teacher. Paul was active in Boys Scouts, enjoyed fishing and boating, and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother Glenn Givan.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years,: Doris Nole Givan; his son, Jordan Givan (Katy); two daughters, Jennifer Clodfelter (Greg) and Amanda Barmore (Andrew); mother, Margaret Givan; two brothers, Steve Givan (Beth) and David Givan (Sandra); sister-in-law, Becky Givan; and eight grandchildren, Emma, Ben, Aaron, Gerty, Simon, Posy, Hannah, and Tobiah.
Funeral service celebrating Paul's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 24, Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville (1119 E. Market St.). Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 - 11 a.m. Saturday before the service.
