Paul N. Rainbolt Sr. 93 years of age died Saturday September 23, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born November 1, 1923 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Sherman and Margaret (Nolen) Rainbolt. Paul was a truck driver with Huber and Huber Company and Smith Transfer Company for some 43 years until retirement. He was a member of Teamster Local #89, a U.S. Navy Veteran of W.W. II and a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, son Jack T. Rainbolt, daughter-in-law Barbara C. (Pfeffer) Rainbolt, and brother John Rainbolt.
Survivors include his wife of 76 years, Elizabeth M. (Garvin) Rainbolt and sons Paul N. Rainbolt Jr., and Mike Rainbolt (Barbara); seven grandchildren; Chris, Susan Jeffries, Mark, Beth Roberts, Heather Whobrey, Ashley Rainbolt Hall, and Michael; 11 great-grandchildren, Kevin, Adam, BreeAnn, Brittany, Jacob, Will, Gabrielle, Chloe, Lucas, Gracie, and Nathan; four great-great grandchildren Blayne, Gabe, Kayden, and Addilyn. Sister; Dorothy Pickard; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, and after 9 a.m. Thursday, September 28, at Kraft Funeral Service 708 E. Spring St. in New Albany, Indiana. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday September 28, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville. Burial with Military Honors to follow at St. Mary's of New Albany Catholic Cemetery.
