Phillip Alan Pair, 70 years of age passed away Veterans Day Saturday November 11, 2017 at his residence with his family and Hosparus by his side. He was born February 8, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Darrel Elwood and Inez Henrietta (Rode) Pair. Phillip was a 13 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving World Wide with the 67th ARRS Division. He retired after 30 years as a substation technician with UPPCO Power Company in the Upper Penninsula in Ishpeming, Michigan where he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a member and past Grand Knight of the K of C before relocating to San Antonio, Texas. For many years he was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the St. Vincent DePaul Society in San Antonio. They then moved to New Albany, Indiana where he was a member of O.L.P.H. Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Darrel Pair.
Surviving include his wife of 50 years Victoria "Vickie" L. (Prieser) Pair and two daughters Elaine Marie Pair and Lynley Susan Pair of Fairbanks, Alaska. Two grandchildren Andrea and Nicholas Kyro, and former son-in-law Mark Kyro (Donna).
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday November 16, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Roas in New Albany. His Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Friday November 17, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Burial with Full Military Honors will be held in the Indiana Veterans Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
