A memorial service for Reda Alice York, 82, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy. in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. She went to be with her heavenly father on February 28, 2017.
Reda was born on January 17, 1935 to the late Thomas and Mary Goff. She worked for Greater Clark County Schools as a teacher's aide and was a member of First Christian Church in Jeffersonville. Reda was a past president of the Falls Cities Women's Optimist Club. She enjoyed gardening, golfing, square dancing and playing cards.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings, Floyd Goff, Wilma Goff, Mary Ann Goff, Sharon Daut, Ted Goff, and Artie Schindler.
She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Bob York; two daughters, Connie Gipperich and her husband Chuck, Toni Davies; a step-daughter, Cecilia York; a stepson, Craig York; three siblings, Erlene Longest, Charlie Goff, Robert Goff; and grandchildren, Morgan, Drew, Jenna, Luke, David, and Katie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, Alzheimer's Association, Amedisys Hospice, or the Falls Cities Women's Optimist Club. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
