Rick was born in Hamilton, Alabama, the son of the late Hyce Gene Winsett and Ellavie (Dulaney) Jackson. He earned an Associate Degree from the University of Alabama, where he also played two years of football before being injured. Rick was a retired truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and was Baptist. Rick really enjoyed working in his yard and his many flower gardens.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Gracia A. (Harris) Winsett; eight nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation, 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday and after 12 noon on Sunday.
