Mr. Shafer and I became great friends when we worked together at CE Power. The one thing I learned from him was that he loved his family. He would light up when talking about his grandchildren, even though I never met them I felt I knew them. I also knew he was a “Christian” because we spent a lot of time talking about the Lord. I even added his granddaughter to our prayer list at church when she became ill. But one lasting memory I have of him was that anytime we saw each other in person we would talk and end it with a hug and he would say, “Love you brother” and I would do the same. He will truly be missed.
May God Bless you ,

To the family of Rob Schafer, I want to say how sorry I am for your loss. I knew him from St. Anthony's grade school in Clarksville where we were classmates. I still remember him as "Robbie".

I will make a donation to St. Jude's in his memory. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
