Robin L.B. Eldridge, 58, passed away Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2017, at home. She was born Robin Blake and grew up in New Albany. She was a life-long educator, teaching at East Washington Schools, JCPS, home, and New Albany-Floyd County Schools. Robin was devoted to Christ, serving at First Church of God in New Albany and Atwood Wesleyan Church in Louisville, KY. She was a musician, playing piano, flute and piccolo at church and in the Louisville Civic Orchestra. Robin loved her family and her students. She relished traveling with her family, especially when it involved a Caribbean cruise.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marty Blake.
Robin's grace and love for life is now our inspiration to be better and to love more every day. Left to carry on her kindness and joy are: her husband: Milo Eldridge,; their children, Benjamin, Rachel, and Samuel; her mother, Joy Weedman Blake; her brother, Jeff Blake (Jennifer); and numerous treasured family members, friends, and students.
A celebration of Robin's life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday December 2, 2017 at First Church of God (2248 Charlestown Road, New Albany). Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday and 5 - 8 p.m. Friday, all at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville.
Memorial contributions may be given to The Gideons, Voice of the Martyrs, or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
