Thomas D. Lumley, 72 years of age passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Tom was born September 6, 1944 in Ashland, KY to the late Frank and Katherine (Friel) Lumley. He was an Army Veteran and retired from Travel Authority/ Altours. His business interests after retirement included the CEO of Lumley Enterprises, Premier Carpets and More, Real Estate Development, Cornerstone Technology, and Genesis II. He was a member of St. Joe Catholic Church, Nothside Christian Church, Louisville Boat Club, VFW Post #1, American Legion Post #204, Knights of Columbus, SKAL International, and the NRA. Tom was also an Eagle Scout award recipient in 1960, past president of the New Albany Chamber of Commerce, past president and co-founder of the New Albany-Floyd County School Foundation, and co-founder of Hometown Bank which is now First Harrison Bank. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother George Lumley, and sisters Alice Taylor and Rosemary Janis.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Lumley; children, Chad Quinn (Stacy), Amy Yeker (Jason); brother, Mark Lumley (Stacey); and grandchildren, Ava Quinn, Brooklyn and Carson Weber, Ivy and Colton Yeker.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service will be held at Noon Friday at the funeral home chapel with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to the New Albany-Floyd County School Foundation or Hosparus.
