Tyrell Lee Dudley, 66, peacefully passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2017, at his home in Bloomington, Indiana. Ty was born on August 28, 1951 to Joseph and Virginia Dudley, of New Albany. He graduated from New Albany High School in 1969. There, his passion for football began to grow as did his life- long friendships. He attended Indiana University where he continued his football journey, pledged the Sigma Pi Fraternity and graduated in 1973. That same year he married Vicki Wilking, and so began the Ty Dudley Family.
Ty celebrated life with a multitude of friends! He especially enjoyed his three children, Jaime Dudley-Brown, Lindsey Dudley Flynn (Brett), and Andrew Jordan Dudley, and of course, the "Sensational Six", his grandchildren, Dylan Flynn, Eric Flynn, Cameryn Brown, Ryan Flynn, Crew Brown and Emerson Dudley.
Ty had a life-long career in the floral industry starting with Rasmussen & Sons in the mid '70's, then Hill Floral Products and in May, he semi-retired from Armellini Express Lines.
Ty had a love for life, family and friends. He rarely met a stranger and if he did they wouldn't be one for long. Ty prided himself in trying to turn someone's bad day (or attitude) into a great one! He would often say, "What can I do to brighten your day?!" and he meant it. He taught great life lessons like, "never take yourself too seriously" and" life can change in an instant, enjoy it now." He was so right! His absence from earth leaves a huge hole in many hearts which he would want us to fill with his memory, his smile and his kindness.
Please join us to celebrate Ty's Great Life at 11 a.m., on Wednesday September 13, at Northside Christian Church, New Albany, IN .
In lieu of flowers... "Now that's FUNNY, I don't care who you are!"
