William R.


William R. "Bill" Pack, age 69, passed away on April 2, 2019 at Norton Hospital. He served in the U.S Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 6582 in Austin, IN. He retired from C.S.X. where he worked as a Locomotive Engineer. He was a father figure to many and a legendary Race Car Driver.
He is survived by his daughters Sara B. Cochran of Underwood, IN and Billie Jean Jefferies of Charlestown, IN; brother Jim S. Pack (Freda) of Burlington, KS; his sister Julie E. Smith (John) of Pleasanton, KS; grandchildren Packston Cochran, Melissa Crick, & Bradley Crick.
He is preceded in death by his wife Rebecca L. Pack; his parents True E. Pack and Martha Evelyn James Pack.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 4-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the service all at the funeral home.
