William M. Vierling Jr., 60, passed away at home on Monday, December 4, 2017 surrounded by his family. The son of the late Joan Bradford and William M. Vierling Sr., Bill was born on March 13, 1957 in Louisville KY. Bill was an expert in the structured settlement business. He volunteered at the McCullough and Sellersburg Fire Departments, worked as an EMT, and was a 911 dispatcher for the Floyd County Sheriff's Department. He was a Kentucky Colonel and an avid Indianapolis Colts and IU fan.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Patricia A. (Fraze) Vierling; children, Leah Copas (Chris), Rebecca Hale (Jamie), and Scott Judd (Lana); grandchildren, Katelyn, Jansen, Elizabeth, Brayden, Christian, Clayton, Lillian, Conner, and Camryn; great-granddaughter, Delilah; brothers, Ken (Leilani), Rick (Jennifer), Hank (Janet), and Jim (Patti) Vierling; sister, Vicki Thompson (Terry); brother-in-law, Robert Fraze; sisters-in-law, Janet Smithson and Aggie Fraze; aunt and uncle, Carolyn and Roy Metzmeier; four cousins; numerous nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends and extended family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Willy Jennings for his care and support.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. on Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany IN. His funeral service with be 12 p.m. Friday in the Kraft, Charlestown Road Chapel with cremation to follow.
