Barton D. Hartsock, 80, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Speed, Indiana and New Albany, Indiana, died January 12, 2017. Born to Ray and Margaret Hartsock, on March 8, 1936. Former owner of Southern Equipment Corporation in Tampa. He was a mentor to all.
Left to cherish his memory, wife, Shelley P. Hartsock; daughter, Dr. Colleen Riley; son Ian (Natasha) Hartsock; stepsons, Matt (Sheila) Cowley and Wes (Marianne) Cowley; grandchildren, Aaron, Hanna and Sara Riley and Andrew Hartsock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives Kathleen Moore Brewer, and Patty Neblett Hartsock; stepmother Ruth Brown Hartsock who encouraged Bart in his education.
Memorial Mass was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in downtown Tampa and a Celebration of Life was held afterwards from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Davis Island Yacht Club.
