Cheryl L. "Lynnsie" Howlett, 58, passed away Wednesday evening at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born in New Albany to James E. and Freda (McWilliams) Sommerville. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and was a believer of the Christian faith as she was baptized in the Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey D. Howlett,; mother Freda Sommerville; her sister Karen Rivera (Pete); and nephews, Alex and Matthew Rivera. She was preceded in death by her father James E. Sommerville, brother Kerry Sommerville and her beloved beagle Buddy.
Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes (1119 E. Market St., New Albany, IN)
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Market Street Chapel with visitation from 9-11 a.m. Burial will be in Galena Cemetery, Galena, IN. Expression of sympathy may be made to The Floyd County Humane Society or the donor's charity of choice in her memory.
