Harold E. Kron, 90, passed away on Tuesday May 23, 2017 at the Historic Villages of Silver Crest in New Albany, Indiana. He was born in New Albany to the late Roy and Mary (Leffler) Kron. He was a current member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Albany and was a former longtime member of Centenary United Methodist Church. He was involved in several church and volunteer organizations including the Salvation Army. Mr. Kron was retired from the sales department at the Nabisco Corporation in Louisville, Kentucky.
Survivors include his daughters, Janice Jones (Jeff), Laura Durbin (Gary) and Marcia Payton (Mike Miller); his grandchildren, Chris, Alison and Ben; six great-grandchildren; and his very special friend Phyllis Black. He was preceded in death by his wife LaVerne M. (Manning) Kron, two sisters and his brother.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Friday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, 1119 E. Market St., New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Market Street Chapel with entombment in Kraftt-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Expressions of sympathy may be given to the Salvation Army in his memory.
