Irma G. Ward, age 80, passed away Sunday at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital, New Albany, Indiana.
She was a native of New Albany, Indiana and was the widow of Robert B. Ward.
She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary, Bonnie Sloan Post #28 American Legion having held many offices in the Unit, District, and Department Levels.
She is survived by a son Raymond Burke Ward, Jeffersonville, IN; three daughters, Jennifer L. Ward, Jeffersonville, IN, Kimberly K. Gibson (Roger), New Albany, IN, Rhonda L. Schneider (Joe), Shepherdsville, KY; four brothers, Robert V. Coombs, New Albany, IN, Leland E. "Pepper" Coombs, Clarksville, IN, John L. "Tinker" Coombs, Clarksville, IN, Bernard M. "Beanie" Coombs, Clarksville, IN; one sister, Karen Jill Ferry, Clarksville, IN; eight grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and many neces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother Gordon L. "Butch" Coombs, a sister Patty Ann Renfrow and her parents, Elmer and Julie Coombs.
Visitation: Noon - 8 p.m. Friday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, 1119 East Market Street, New Albany, Indiana..
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes.
Interment will be in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany, Indiana.
