Jimmie Glenn Oliver, 78, entered eternal life on Monday, August 21, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He retired from I.U.S., and had previously worked for Durkee's Famous Foods as a machine operator. Jimmie attended Grace Family Worship, Jeffersonville and loved collecting old railroad lanterns.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Kendall Oliver, New Albany; daughters, Debbie (Kenneth) Spencer, Sellersburg, Lisa Oliver Clayton, New Albany; grandchildren, Jimmie Shane Spencer, Chris Clayton, Brittney Mercer, Jacob Clayton, Donovan Clayton; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Garr Funeral Home with burial to follow at Abundant Life Cemetery in New Albany. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
