Kenneth E. Paris, 79, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017. The son of the late Charles Edwin and Viola F. (Lumpkins) Paris, Ken was born March 19, 1938 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He worked at First Federal, Great Financial Federal, U.S. Bank, Schmitt Furniture, and Bass Pro Shops. Ken was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany, and was very active in the St. Vincent De Paul Society. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Suzanne Jeanne (Horn) Paris; and grandson, Corey Harper.
He is survived by his children, Debbie Rorrer (George), Cindy McCain (David), Beth Harper, and Brent Paris (Suzanne); second wife, Janet Fougerousse Paris; siblings, Larry E. Paris (Mimi), Elizabeth Ann Castleman (Jimmy), David A. Paris (Bobbi), Nancy Banet (Pat), and Charles James Paris (Carole); 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with entombment and military honors following at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
