Rick E. Coakley, 61, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN. He was born July 5, 1956 in New Albany, IN the son of LeRoy and Juanita Love Hubert. Was the owner of Coakley Service Station on Chestnut St in Corydon and was quite the Hot Rod enthusiast. He owned a 1968 Chevelle SS. He loved playing poker and enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola Antiques.
He is preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother Juanita Hubert of Floyds Knobs, IN;
His wife Merry Ann Coakley of Corydon, IN;
One son, Donnie Coakley of Floyds Knobs, IN;
Three daughters, Heather Coakley of Elizabeth, IN, Maddie and Makenzie Coakley, both of Corydon, IN;
Four brothers, Jimmy Coakley (Tish) of Corydon, IN, Billy Coakley (Stephanie) of Georgetown, IN, Larry Coakley of New Albany, IN Terry Hubert (Lora) of Georgetown, IN;
Two sisters, Vicki Brim of Georgetown, IN and Kathy Whitten (Jerry) of Lanesville, IN;
And several nieces and nephews.
The funeral ceremony will begin at 11AM on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Rev. Leland Lockhart will officiate. Burial will follow at Edwardsville Cemetery in Edwardsville, IN.
Visitation will begin at 12 Noon until 8PM on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the funeral home and continue on Monday from 9AM until the ceremony at 11AM.
