Susan Gayle Smith "Suzie" Stillwell-Gullion, age 58, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on August 12, 1958 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Pardue Smith.
She was raised in Jeffersonville and was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School. On May 22, 1976 she was united in marriage to Steven Thomas Stillwell in Utica, Indiana. This union was blessed with two children, Jesse and Sarah. Suzie had also resided in the Florida Keys for 15 years, Robbinsville, North Carolina for three years and the last 17 years in Madison. After high school, Suzie had received training in EMT and CNA programs where she used this knowledge to work for the Kroger Pharmacy in Madison for four years and Hanover Health and Rehab as a CNA for two years. While living in the Keys she had been employed with Islander Resort in Islamorada for 10 years and as a housekeeper on sail boats and private homes. Suzie was united in marriage to Randall N. "Randy" Gullion on January 12, 2000 in Charleston, South Carolina. She enjoyed sewing, coloring, collecting antiques, being a grandmother and was a member of the North Madison Christian Church. Suzie died on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at 12:50 p.m. at the Norton Hosparus Inpatient Unit in Louisville, Kentucky.
Suzie will be missed by her loving husband of 17 years, Randall N. "Randy" Gullion of Madison, Indiana; her son, Jesse Bruce Stillwell and his wife, Susan of Madison, Indiana; her daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Stillwell of Madison, Indiana; her stepson, Kristopher "Kris" Neal Gullion of Madison, Indiana; her mother-in-law, Wilma Tingle Gullion of Hanover, Indiana; her grandchildren, Steven Stillwell, Hayden Gullion, Paige Gullion and Grace Stillwell; her sisters-in-law, Sharon Hilbig of Jacksonville, Florida, Linda Cunningham of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Carol Macmann of New Lebanon, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth Pardue Smith; her father-in-law, George M. Gullion who died March 6, 2006; her first husband, Steven Thomas Stillwell who died on November 26, 1998; her brothers, Dennis Smith, Steve Smith and Kevin Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 14, 2017, at 7:30 p.m., by Brother Robby King at the North Madison Christian Church, 1400 East SR 62 in Madison, Indiana.
