Thomas "Tom"'s Story
Thomas "Tom" Kramer, 73, of Talking Rock, GA. passed away on May 17, 2017 at his home cared for by his son, Thomas J. Kramer Jr.
Tom was born Jan 3, 1944 at St Edward's Hospital in New Albany, In.
He enjoyed playing sports at Providence High School and attended University of Louisville and Bellarmine College.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clement C. Kramer Sr. and Anna Kramer Meagher, and sister, Toni Kramer Osborn.
Tom is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Patricia K Hartfield; son, Thomas J. Kramer Jr. (Terrie) Tempe, Arizona; daughter, Julienne C. Kramer, Gainesville, VA.; grandchildren, Grace George, Riley George, and Raymond George, Zachary Kramer; brothers, Clem Kramer (Julie), Bill Kramer, Nick Kramer; sisters, Noelle Kramer Gohmann (Mike), Vicki Kramer; brother-in-law Jerry Osborn; and many nieces and nephews.
Tom's work career spanned over 40 years in utility contracting from Kentucky to Virginia.
Tom's many interests include gardening, cooking and promoting children's fitness.
His persistent study of family genealogy reconnected him with many distant cousins. He particularly loved visits with his grandchildren, enjoying his doggie companion, Dudley, and living in the Georgia hills. He recently served on the Board of Elections in Pickens County, GA.
A home visitation was held on May 21, 2017.
His ashes will be interred in a family private cemetery in Harrison County, Indiana.
