Annetta May Dobson Same died Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital, New Albany.
She was born January 1, 1935 to the late Berny Lee Dobson Sr. and Laura Etta Stanley Dobson of Clarksville.
Annetta graduated from Jeffersonville High School in 1952 and was retired from American Commercial Barge Line.
She enjoyed square dancing, was an avid bowler, and participated in the annual Senior Olympics. She also enjoyed working outdoors and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 36 years, William D. "Bill" Same; brothers, Berny Lee Dobson Jr. and David Jerald Dobson.
Annetta is survived by a daughter, Dianna K. Brown (William "Keith") New Albany; a brother, Raymond E. Dobson, Versailles, KY; grandchildren, Kyle W. Brown (Leela), Lauren E. Brown (Adam Condit); three great-grandsons, Hayden, Kayden, Orion; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the funeral home, followed with entombment in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville.
