Funeral services for Arthur R. "The Englishman" Lamb, 80, of Edwardsville, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with private interment. He died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.. He was a native of Coventry, England, and was retired as a painter for Jeff Boat and Marine Builders. He also retired as a security guard for Hillerich & Bradsby, MSD, and Humana. He served in the British Military in the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers and was a member of the Church of England. He was a member of the Thursday Night Euchre Club at the Floyds Knobs Community Club.. Survivors include his wife, Maureen V. Smith Lamb; daughters, Roma J. Lamb, of Louisville, and Beverley Gooselaw, of Lanesville; brother, Robert Lamb, of Coventry, England; grandchildren, Jessica and P.J. Walter; and great-grandchild, Madelynne Walter.. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lilian Lamb; brothers, Frank and John Lamb; and sister, Lilian Smith.. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesday
