Betsy Ann Stamper (Casey), 72, of New Albany, IN peacefully passed away Friday, January 17, 2025.
She worked for 10 years at American Air Filter and retired from Philip Morris where she worked for 30 years in both the Louisville, KY and Charlotte, NC locations.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Dean and Anna Margaret Casey, father-in-law Robert Stamper, mother-in-law Carolee Stamper, sister-in-law Iva Wonder and great-great niece Avery Marie Greenwell.
Betsy was such a kind person with a big heart. She adored the many pets she had over the years especially Dottie and Spike. She enjoyed going to the beach, family vacations, trips to the casino, watching NASCAR and game shows, shopping, sewing, knitting and crafts.
Betsy leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Roger Stamper; her sister Susan Casey; sisters-in-law, Janet Begg (Peter), and Bobbie Braden; several nieces and nephews, Mike, Ron, Susan Wonder, Roger Braden, Jeri Rogers, Tammy Harvey, Mark Yeary (Faith), Christie Baugher, Casey Baugher (Kate); eight great-nieces and nephews; two great-great nephews; and one great-great niece Kylee Ann.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025 with service to follow at 1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, KY.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dementia Society, American Lung Association, American Heart Association, or Floyd County Humane Society.
