Brenda Martin (Hogue) Hall, 82, Sellersburg, IN passed away at Maple Manor Christian Home on Friday, February 16, 2024.
She was born on November 26, 1941 in Louisville, KY to the late Samuel Hogue and Sarah (Pulliam) Barrick. Brenda worked as an X-Ray Technician at the University of Louisville Hospital and attended Northside Christian Church.
Lovingly known as "Ninny," she loved her family more than anything and sacrificed for them so they could have the education and experiences to grow into wonderful people. She rarely missed a dance recital, soccer game, swim meet, play or choir performance that her grandchildren participated in.
Alzheimer's Disease is a thief of time and joy and she was not immune. It was particularly difficult during the pandemic, but we were so blessed to have the most wonderful people at Maple Manor Christian Home care for her like family all the way to the end. For this, we will be eternally grateful.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Baize; nephew, David Byers; and former spouse, Marc Amster.
Left to cherish her memory, daughter, Whitney Nash (Timothy); son, John Morris Hall; grandchildren, Mackenzie Nash, Abigail Abel (Keith), Samuel Hall, and Sophia Hall; and one great-grandchild, Elisha Chase Patrick Abel.
A celebration of Brenda's life will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes, 1119 E. Market Street.
Expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations in Brenda's name to the Alzheimer's Association, or Hosparus of Southern Indiana and Louisville.
