Brenda Marilyn (Friedman) Kruer, 82, of Floyds Knobs, IN passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
Brenda was born on August 22, 1942 in Dubois County, IN to the late Cletus and Mary (Jones) Friedman. She was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church and was a devoted friend to many - she had a knack for making each person she met feel special and loved.
Brenda was a graduate of Providence High School and went on to be a beautician for over 40 years out of her home "Beauty Shop" - where she had a passion for making each person feel beautiful inside and out. She enjoyed camping with her friends, sewing, playing cards, and baking sweets for anyone who came to her home.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Jacqueline (Cletus) Baumann and Rebecca Gettelfinger.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerry J. Kruer; two children, Kevin (Becky) Kruer and Tammy (Rick) Goodridge; sister, Michelle (Bill) Kirchgessner; brother-in-law, Dennis Gettelfinger; four granddaughters, Katie (George) Tipker, Cassy (Michael) Guarneri, Lindsey (Sam) Clinard, and Amanda (Parker) Edwards; and her beloved great-granddaughter, Eden Louise Tipker. She eagerly anticipated the arrival of her first great-grandsons; Dawson Tate Edwards and George Edward Tipker V, due this spring.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. John Paul II, 2253 West St. Joe Road, Sellersburg, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
