Carl Frederick Baechler passed away at 9:35 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Maple Manor Christian Home in Sellersburg, IN.
He retired from the United States Navy after 22 years of service and Wyeth Ayerst Laboratories after 21 years as a pharmaceutical representative.
On November 15, 1958 (almost 59 years ago) in New Albany, IN, he married Melda Rose (Brown) Baechler, who survives in Jeffersonville, IN.
He was born on September 2, 1928 to Martin Carl and Margaret (Michaels) Baechler.
Other survivors include his four children, Judy Carta of Jeffersonville, IN, Becky (Steven) Bottorff of Sellersburg, IN, Bobbie Grembos of Sellersburg, IN, and Martin Frederick (Michelle) Baechler of Maryland, 10 grandchildren; three siblings, Mary Louise Mulrooney, Helen Mudd, and Martin Carl Baechler Jr.
He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Jo Baechler.
Cremation services was entrusted to Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville.
