Carol "Sue" Carnine, a beloved mother, granny, and friend, passed away on December 7, 2024 at the age of 81, surrounded by her loving daughters.

Born on March 30, 1943 in Carter County, KY, Sue was blessed to be apart of a large loving family.

Sue worked for many years as a secretary at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. Her commitment to her work was only matched by her unwavering love for her family. Sue cherished the moments spent cooking for her loved ones, ensuring that no one ever went hungry.

As a longtime member of Southeast Christian Church (Classic Worship) in Indiana, her faith played a central role in her life. It was within the church community that she found solace and strength. Sue's personality shone brightly as she was always on the lookout for good bargains and thrifting adventures that brought her great joy.

Her proudest accomplishments were her family, her daughters, Gina (Jeff) Davis and Danna (Steve) Bush. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren, Christian (Ali) Bush, Breanna Davis, Ashley Bush, and Brenton Davis. In her later years, her great-grandchildren, Jaxon Bush, Ivy Bush, and Kamden Whitfield, brought her joy and laughter. She is also survived by her siblings, Barbara Hooker, George (Paula) Masters, and Judy Troxell; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sue joins in eternal rest her late husband of 57 years, Daniel Keith Carnine; her parents, Joseph and Letha Masters; and her brothers, Frankie, Kenny, Billy, Wayne, and Danny Paul Masters. She will forever be remembered for her unwavering faith and her love for family.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany. Her funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
