Memphis, Indiana - Carol Deniece McCoy, 71, of Memphis, Indiana, passed away on June 8, 2025. Born on October 14, 1953, in Corbin, Kentucky, she was the daughter of John and Charity McNew.

Deniece is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert McCoy, and her four children: Robert John McCoy, Stephanie Ritter, Matthew McCoy, and Adam McCoy. She was blessed to be a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She is also survived by her siblings: Sue Roby, Carlene Stewart, Joe McNew, and Rebecca Austin.

Deniece was a woman of great faith and lived her life dedicated to Christ and in His service. She faithfully and lovingly served others throughout her life, as a mother, as a member of the First Baptist Church of Sellersburg, and as a teacher's aide for children with specials needs at Silver Creek Elementary. She enjoyed reading God's Word daily and sharing and discussing the Bible with all those around her.

Deniece's life was reflective of Paul's words in the New Testament: "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:6-8 KJV.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana. Visitation will continue on Saturday at 9:00 a.m., followed by a service celebrating Deniece's life at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, and a burial at Silver Creek Cemetery in Sellersburg.
