Carole Ann Strohbeck, 82, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Born on August 12, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Herman, Sr. and Mary (Gilkey) Strohbeck. Carole's journey through life was marked by her dedication to faith and education, as exemplified by her pride in obtaining a Masters Degree in Religious Studies from Spalding University.
Carole served as the Director of Religious Education at St. Mary's Catholic Churches in both Lanesville and New Albany. Her commitment to her faith extended to her active membership at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.
She is survived by her loving siblings: Herman, Jr. "Joe" Strohbeck (Barbara), John "Tony" Strohbeck, Rosemary Cannon (Tom), Margaret "Peggy" McGregor, Julian "Jerry" Strohbeck, Bill Strohbeck (Mary) and Tom Strohbeck (Jackye). Carole cherished her family deeply, leaving behind twelve nephews, three nieces, and numerous great-nieces and nephews who will remember her as a guiding light in their lives.
Carole's wish was to be cremated. A reception of family and friends will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs) with her funeral mass being celebrated at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest immediately following in the church cemetery.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Mass of the Air (1200 S. Shelby Street, Louisville, KY 40203).
