Charles Edward (Charley) Abbott, 87, of Louisville, KY, formally of Clarksville, IN, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Charles was born in Jeffersonville to the late Charles W. Abbott and June Ruby Abbott. He was an Air Force Veteran, a retired surveyor and a bus driver for TARC.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Doris O'Bryant Abbott, and stepmother, Sovara (Sue) Abbott.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Milissa (Missy) DeSurne (Paul); his grandson, Thomas DeSurne; his sister, Cindy Hagan; and his brothers, Larry L. Abbott and Donald Abbott (Suzanne).
Cremation was chosen and a private service was conducted. Arrangements have been entrusted to Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Ave., Clarksville.
