Jeffersonville, Indiana - Chris Zavitson, 90, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025. Chris was a dedicated professional who enjoyed a lifelong career as an insurance agent, ultimately owning his own agency before his retirement.
Born on July 18, 1935, in Jeffersonville, Chris was the son of George and Cleopatra (Hay) Zavitson. In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Mary (Striewe) Zavitson.
Chris is survived by his children, Russell Zavitson (Denise), Jack Lindenberger (Betty), Joan Davis, Kathy Bowen, and Christina Robert. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jaby Su Lindenberger, Tony Zavitson, and Olivia Zavitson, as well as his precious great-grandson, Jameson Oro.
Chris' wish was to be cremated, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) has been entrusted with his care.
