Jeffersonville, Indiana - Funeral services for Cynthia Ann Blavat, 75, of Jeffersonville will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Spring Valley Funeral Home, 1217 East Spring Street in New Albany, with burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Tuesday, prior to the service, from 9-11 a.m. She passed away on June 10, 2023, at Hillcrest Village where she resided.

Cynthia was born on October 28, 1947 in Jeffersonville to the late John and Betty Rider. She retired from the Census Bureau after 15 years of dedicated service. Cynthia was known for her sense of humor, love for culture, art, and most of all, music. She also loved spending time with her kids, family, and precious grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by her sister, Jeane Lee.

She is survived by her two sons, daughter, sister and brother-in-law, six grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
