Danny Ray Kleehammer Obituary

Danny Ray Kleehammer, 69, of Memphis, IN, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.

Danny was born November 14, 1951 in Scottsburg, IN. He was the son of Clarence Kleehammer and Ivory (Johnson ) Kleehammer, who are both deceased.

He was a 1969 Henryville High School graduate and a 1974 Morehead State University graduate with a degree in Political Science.

On September 7, 1974 in Henryville, IN, he married Deborah L. (Elrod) Kleehammer, who survives in Memphis, IN.

Danny retired from Essroc Cement Corporation where he worked in the maintenance dept. for 39 years. He was a member of Henryville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed riding his lawnmower, tractor, and golf cart around the farm where he was always fixing and tinkering around with things that needed to be repaired. When he wasn't working hard, he enjoyed politics, and watching all types of sports. Most of all, he loved his family, spending time with them and looked forward to visits from his children and grandchildren.

Other survivors include his four children and seven grandchildren, Tyra Crotzer (Robert), son, Skyler Brooks of Sellersburg, IN, Rylan Kleehammer (Melanie), sons, Braylan and Eastan of St. Augustine, FL, Barissa Tieken, daughters, Bria and Ava Rhea, son, Bryson of Henryville, IN, Baranda Fraley (Eric), son, Brennan of Charlestown, IN,; two great-grandchildren; six siblings, Betty Starnes of Henryville, IN, Joe (Vicki) Kleehammer of Enon, OH, Darlene (Bruce) Carter of Memphis, IN, Ronnie (Jerrilyn) Kleehammer of Euless, TX, Glinda (Zack) Ellison of Columbus, IN, Garry Kleehammer of Henryville, IN; mother-in-law, Billi Heil; sister-in-law, Gayla Enzi (Robert); brother-in-law, Robert Elrod II and his son, Blake Elrod; many nephews and nieces and great-nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville with burial to follow at Mt Zion Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020 and after 11 a.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
