David Wayne Conley, 66, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024. David was born on July 6, 1958 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Ollie and Barbara Conley. He was a Registered Nurse with Floyd Memorial Hospital with over 30 years of service. David was also the former director of Nursing with the old Providence Retirement Home. He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as a Medical Corpsman. He was a graduate of Southridge High School and Indiana University Southeast with a BSN. He also held a Masters Degree in Management. He taught nursing classes at IUS and Ivy Tech. David was a member of the 40&8 Voiture 1250 in New Albany.
David is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jane Alcorn; a brother, Curtis M. Conley (Amy) of Dale, Indiana; nephews, Craig Anderson of Dale, Indiana, Bradley Anderson of Holland, Indiana and Bob Alcorn of New Albany, Indiana; niece, Audrey Conley of Lamar, Indiana; aunt, Phyllis Bufkin of Boonville, Indiana; and many many dear friends and cousins.
Visitation for David will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
Funeral service will be Friday, January 3, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with inurnment to follow in New Albany National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the 40&8 Voiture 1250 Nurses Scholarship Fund.
