David Frederick Scholl, 90, of Henryville, IN passed away at 8:30 AM on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany, IN.

David was born on Monday, April 25, 1932, in Memphis, IN to John and C. Allyne (Bower) Scholl.

On March 8, 1955, at Henryville Community Presbyterian Church, David married the love of his life, Carol (Montgomery) Scholl who survives in Henryville, IN.

David was a United States Navy veteran. After serving in the Navy, he was employed at GE in Louisville, KY for over 37 years until he retired. After retirement, he enjoyed being a greeter at Caesars Casino in Southern Indiana. When David wasn't working, he loved reading, fishing, woodworking, and restoring furniture.

David is survived by his wife of 68 years, Carol (Montgomery) Scholl, 3 sons, David J. (Pam Shelton) Scholl of Henryville, IN, Paul D. (Dutsadee) Scholl of Henryville, IN, Dwight E. (Heather) Scholl of Jeffersonville, IN, 5 grandchildren, Laura (Roger) Pellman of Elizabeth, IN, Kayla (Mitchell) Hamlin of Memphis, IN, Nissi (Bret Stuart) Scholl of Bellevue, NE, Megan (Eric Sanders) Scholl of Memphis, IN, and Marni Scholl attending the University of Missouri, 3 great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Jarrett, Karter Scholl, and Oaklyn Hamlin, 7 siblings, Arnold (Marlene) Scholl of WA, Frank (Vickie) Scholl of WA, Charles (Marsha) Scholl of New Albany, IN, Lois (Ben) Bryant of Alton, IN, James Scholl, Richard Scholl, and Betty Scholl, and many loving nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents, John and C. Allyne (Bower) Scholl, siblings, Emma Belle Scholl, Martin Andrew Scholl, Kenneth Scholl, Norman Scholl, Carl Scholl, Eva Scholl DeMoss, Dorothea Scholl Park, and Mary Scholl Montgomery, 2 twin great-grandsons, Clayton Paul and Kenton Brooks Bowling.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory~Henryville with burial immediately following in Silver Creek Cemetery.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, all at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory~Henryville.

Memorial donations in honor of David may be donated to Alzheimer's Association or SouthernCare Hospice.
