Deborah Mary Meyer (North) Obituary

Charlestown, IN - Deborah Mary Meyer (North) departed for her journey to the great unknown on February 14, 2025.

Cherishing her memory from earth are her three beautiful children, Maverick, Makenna, and Maxwell. Diana Smiley Pierce and David North roam the earth forever saddened by the loss of their daughter, destined to remind everyone of her greatness.

Picking up the pieces, promising to keep her memory alive and continue where Deborah cannot are her siblings, Albert (Missy), Suzanna (Mike), and Sarah (Daniel). Carrying on Deborah's inappropriate shenangigans are her four nieces, Vivian, Kaylie, Amelia, Valerie, and two nephews, Mason and Frances. Continuing to remember our loss are countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Greeting Deborah at her final destination are grandparents Otto and Mary Smiley, Aunt Deborah Bauer, Uncle James Patterson, Aunt Shirley Bruggenschmidt, great-grandmother Laura Spainhoward and loyal companion and wingman, Grizzly.

Born into this world on March 13, 1988, Deborah's fierce, unforgettable presence leaves a lasting impression of her contagious laughter, bright smile, limitless love, and unwavering loyalty. She was strong-willed, full of life, and unapologetically herself. Deborah found joy in being outdoors, loved traveling and seeing the world, whether soaking up the sun by the pool, skiing in the mountains, or exploring nature trails.

On her journey through life, Deborah graduated from Jeffersonville High School, class of 2006. Continuing to accomplish dreams of becoming a nurse, Deborah attended Indiana University Southeast, University of Louisville, and Ivy Tech attaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Dedicating her life to caring for others, Deborah was recognized with The Daisy Award and promoted to nurse manager at Wellstone Regional Hospital in her 15 years of service. She had a gift for caring for others, bringing both skill and compassion to her patients.

While her path wasn't easy, Deborah longed to be a mother and with the same determination propelling her through life, she welcomed her first child in 2020. Shortly after she welcomed her second child in 2022, and third in 2023. More than anything, Deborah's devotion to her children was unquestionable and unconditional, showering them with her love, attention, and guidance as she began molding her tiny perfect humans. Certainly heartbroken that she's no longer here to continue her role as their mother, we know Deb continues her watch from a higher viewpoint and will definitely haunt anyone who causes them harm.

Visitation will be at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, on Saturday, February 22 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and again on Sunday, February 23 from 1 to 2 p.m. with her funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.

Taken from this earth too soon, Deborah's memory will live on with all who knew and loved her. Memories of Deborah, and messages of support for the family can be shared at www.ScottFuneralHome.com.
