Delores J. Richie Obituary

Dolores J. Richie, 78, of Hoover, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025.

Born on July 23, 1946, in Salem, IN, Dolores graduated from Pekin High School before going on to earn her degree from California State University at Fullerton, where she also obtained a master's in business administration.

On August 15, 1965, she married David Richie, and together they shared a wonderful life. Dolores dedicated 33 years to working in Accounting at Titan Coatings, Inc. in Bessemer, Alabama.

In her personal life, Dolores had a deep passion for golf and yoga, both of which brought her joy and fulfillment.

She spent many happy hours as a child next door on the farm of her grandparents, Homer and Pearl Borders, picking strawberries and otherwise helping with chores on the family farm.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lloyd and Frances Brown of Pekin, IN and in-laws, Jack and Marie Richie of New Albany, IN with whom she enjoyed a very special and close relationship.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, David Richie; her beloved children, Kimberly Ann Edwards (Stevan) and Tabitha Ann (Abby) Richie, who will cherish her memory.

A time of fellowship and remembrance will be held on Saturday, March 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama.
