Reverend Dorsel William Reese (Bill)
September 11, 1945 - September 20, 2025
Reverend Dorsel William "Bill" Reese went home to Jesus, his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 20, 2025. He is reunited with his father, James Reese and mother, Sarah Jane Reese, who preceded him to heaven.
His dedication to serving others for more than 50 years, was done with great love as a minister of the gospel. He served faithfully in the local Church and as a chaplain for multiple fire departments and hospitals. He is remembered and well loved by good friends and family in S. Florida, Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Cobb County, GA and at Azalea Hills in Floyds Knobs, IN.
He was Poppy to his two daughters and two sons-in-love and his 5 grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen following Bill's wishes and he will be laid to rest in his hometown of Gallipolis, Ohio.
Gestures of love are welcome to be gifted in our Father's honor and memory to Cinco Baptist Church (26 Yacht Club Dr NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548) or SouthernCare Hospice (811 Northgate Blvd #101, New Albany, IN 47150).

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
