Dylan Tyler 'D.D.' Dizney Obituary

Funeral services and a Celebration of the Life for Dylan Tyler "D.D." Dizney, 19, of Pekin, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at Scott Funeral Home's North Chapel, Jeffersonville. He died Friday, March 4, 2011, in Pekin.. Dylan was a loving son and brother to his parents and family. He always picked flowers for his "Momma." He loved chasing his younger brother and sister around the house and being a confidante for his teenage sisters. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, kayaking and camping with family and his friends. He was known to his friends as "Diz" or "Dizney." His family and friends remember his ability to make you smile and laugh, and how he would listen to any problems and be there. He enjoyed working at Bergin's Auto in Jeffersonville. He had many friends and associates at Clark Memorial Hospital that will miss him greatly. Dylan spent his childhood in Colorado where he had and has many friends and family that will miss him. Anyone who ever met Dylan was left with the impression of a well mannered, gentle, funny, loyal, beautiful boy who cared for others more than himself. He loved his grandparents and he was always there to bring in their firewood and help around the house.. Survivors include his parents, Emily and Jeremy Brady, of Clarksville; siblings, Hannah Williams, Lucille "Lucy" Grindstaff, and Stevan Grindstaff, all of Clarksville, Lauren Dizney, of Louisville, and Mandi Grindstaff and Neal Grindstaff, of Paducah; grandparents, Steve and Jayne Isgrigg, of Pekin, Mark and Marlaine White, of Jeffersonville, and Debbie and John Williams, of Colorado; fiancée, Haily Basham, of Martinsburg; cousin, Nathan Cunningham, of Pekin, whom he spent many hours playing basketball and video games together; as well as many cousins and close friends that will mourn his loss, including extended family in New Mexico; numerous family members in Louisville, and surrounding areas, including Maryland and Florida, including his grandfather, Earl William Dizney Sr. and his wife, Tina; father, Earl William Dizney Jr.; uncle, Thomas Dizney; grandmother, Linda Hilger and her husband, Steve; and stepsister, Haileigh Boone.. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday.. Cremation was chosen and will be done by Scott Family Crematory.
